Running education for fourth- and fifth-grade students
The Running is Elementary event scheduled for May 7 at Elm Road Elementary School has been cancelled for reasons of safety due to the forecast for more thunderstorms and the condition of the course. Each school may schedule a running event for their students in the next few weeks.
We would like to extend thanks to Cindy Batalis for her dedication and vision. Also, thank you to the numerous staff, volunteers and coaches who spent many hours planning Running is Elementary. The mission of Running is Elementary was still achieved with students running the past month in after-school running clubs. With 628 students registered for the run, the excitment for exercising continues to grow with P-H-M 4th and 5th graders.
